Invest in the Chipper that’s loaded with new standard features to make your job easier. This Chipper can handle branches up to 6 inches in diameter, with the ability to chip the toughest brush with ease.
The 26 x 1 inch thick, 165 pound dynamically-balanced disc with cantilever design reduces wrapping while utilizing 4-reversible chipper blades, and an adjustable 4-sided anvil.
Features include a 6.7 inch rectangular discharge chute, and a live hydraulic feed system with a variable speed feed roller with instant reverse. Our Auto-feed feed system automatically retries feeding limbs. The feed sensor is factory installed and standard equipment on the CH611DH. The feed roller is 15 inches in diameter for enhanced powerful feeding. The discharge chute extends to the end of the hitch for efficient loading and quickly rotates 360 degrees with ease. The CH611DH has a 6.5 x 13 inch feed throat opening with a wide open feed chute mouth measuring 36 x 35 inches.
The triple banded belt drive provides a better transfer of power. The Crary® Bear Cat® CH611DH also features a telescopic tongue with 2 inch ball coupler, torsion axle suspension, adjustable jack stand with wheel and adjustable rear stabilizer.
How difficult is it to perform maintenance on the machine?
Crary® Bear Cat® products are designed with ease of maintenance in mind. Proper maintenance is vital and should be performed routinely with blades, belts and bearings being most important.
How long will the chipper blades last?
Depending on the type of wood, age and cleanliness, chipper blades will work well for between 5-15 hours. Dry, dirty wood will dull the blades faster. Alternate dry and wet material to extend blade life. Hydraulic feed machines will have longer blade life.
What are these Chippers designed for?
The Crary®Bear Cat®Chipper is designed to effectively reduce the volume of wood, branches, and other organic material. The typical application for this product group is anywhere from light to commercial to municipalities, and/ or rental.
What is the maximum size of material will these machines chip?
A Crary® Bear Cat®9” Chipper will chip up to 9“ diameter material.
What type of Chippers are available?
Crary® Bear Cat® makes Chippers with gravity or hydraulic feed, powered by an engine package or a tractor PTO. A hydraulic feed machine has a hydraulic driven feed roller to efficiently feed branches to the chipper disc.
When should I buy a gravity feed machine?
If you have an infrequent need for a Chipper and time is not a factor, a gravity feed machine will fit your needs.
When should I buy a hydraulic feed machine?
If time or efficiency is an issue, a hydraulic feed Chipper allows you to be more productive.
When should I chip?
If you don’t plan on composting the material, material is green and stringy or larger than 3/4″ in diameter.
